Melissa Williamson, OTR/L
Melissa has been practicing in occupational therapy specializing in Pediatrics for the last 7 years. She received her degree in Occupational Therapy from St. Louis University in 2003. Melissa is also certified in early intervention. She has worked in the school system, private clinics and in-home settings. Melissa relocated from Los Angeles and enjoys spending her free time exploring Chicago and spending time with friends and family.
Carolyn Byerly-Dean, OTR/L
Carolyn Byerly-Dean, OTR/L is a 1998 graduate of Saint Louis University’s occupational therapy program. She has enjoyed working with children in a variety of settings including schools, private clinics and the non-profit sector. Carolyn has a special interest in assistive technology and earned a certificate in Assistive Technology Applications from California State University. She has provided treatment for children with learning disabilities, developmental delays, autism, sensory processing disorder and physical disabilities. Some of her hobbies include rowing, gardening, hiking, swing dancing, tropical fishkeeping, and exploring Chicago with her husband and daughter.
Jenice Reyes, M.A., CCC-SLP/L
Jenice is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a background in Learning Disabilities. Jenice holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Saint Louis University and a Master’s degree in Learning Disabilities from Saint Xavier University. Jenice has experience with a variety of students with receptive/expressive language impairments, phonological disorders, language processing disorders, stuttering, social pragmatics, apraxia of speech, and traumatic brain injury. Jenice can be described as friendly, goal-oriented, and motivated to succeed and help individuals with special needs.
Debby Strauss, OTR/L
Debby is a graduate of the University of Illinois. She has worked as an occupational therapist in a variety of settings; primarily pediatrics. Debby enjoyed working at Children’s Memorial Hospital for many years and has more recently worked with children in the school setting, an outpatient clinic specializing in birth to age three, and in private practice. Debby lives and works on the Northshore. She is married and enjoys spending time with her three children.
Jessica Wheeler, OTR/L
Jessica graduated the University of Illinois in 2002 with a bachelors degree in Child Development and Family Studies, followed by a masters degree in Occupational Therapy. Over the years she has worked in a variety of settings including public schools, early childhood programs, a private school for children with autism, and therapy clinics utilizing a Sensory Integration and DIR Floortime approach. She has extensive experience working with children with a variety of developmental delays, fine and gross motor skill deficits, and sensory processing disorders. Jessica utilizes a holistic approach to therapy. She believes that the family is an integral part of the therapy process, and that collaboration between home and clinic are key to creating a successful intervention plan. Jessica lives in Chicago, and enjoys spending time exploring the city and hanging out with family and friends.
Sarah Ahlm, Ma, LCSW
Sarah Ahlm and Associates, LLC
Sarah holds a degree in social work from the School of Social Work Administration at the University of Chicago. She has been working with children and families for 13 years specializing in understanding the impact of developmental differences on behavior. Sarah focuses much of her work helping children with sensory processing disorder, learning differences and ADHD to successfully function at home, school and with peers. Sarah specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior modification and group therapy.
Sarah, her husband and children live in the suburbs of Chicago. In addition to collaborating with Erin Anderson and Associates, she has a private practice serving clients in Chicago area.
